Meet the Doctor

Dr. Leslie Bedell, owner of Agape Chiropractic Healing Center in North Bend , Washington has been providing family wellness care since 1987. She graduated Summa cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1984 and practiced in southern Ohio for three years before opening her office in Washington . She has had special training in Pediatrics, Prenatal and Birth Support, Women's Health Care, Addictions, and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Upledger Cranial Sacral Therapy, and Somato-emotional healing. Her pre-chiropractic studies include a strong background in Biochemistry and Nutrition.

Leslie enjoys teaching and does extensive public speaking to groups including PTA's, women's groups, church retreats, local business meetings, and health seminars. She has lectured and taught Pediatric seminars to Chiropractors in South Africa .

When not seeing patients in her busy family practice, Leslie conducts support groups and teaches classes for women and teen girls in recovery. She has been trained to facilitate small groups by Cloud-Townsend Communications, authors of the popular books, Boundaries and Changes That Heal . She also received training with Life Skills International to teach classes empowering women to recover from domestic violence and abusive relationships.

Dr. Bedell was appointed to the Executive Board of the World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA) Council on Women's Health. She was given the position of Secretary-Treasurer of the Council at the WCA Summit held in Washington D.C. in March 2001.

Dr. Bedell was also appointed to the WCA Council on Addictionology and Compulsive Disorders and completed the Board Certification program for Addictionology in January 2002. She is working with a team of health and education professionals to develop a multi-disciplinary program for the prevention and treatment of addictions and obsessive/compulsive disorders.

Leslie is also a charter member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association and enjoys writing health and wellness articles for the local paper in her community. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and served five years on the Board of Encompass, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of families and children in her community. For five years in a row, Dr. Bedell organized and sponsored an annual community event for children in conjunction with Kid's Day America, networking with other professionals who share a passion for children's health and safety. Proceeds from this event were donated to Encompass. She and her husband, Bill, are co-directors of a faith-based 12-Step Recovery program called Celebrate Recovery, a community outreach for people struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

She resides with her husband, Bill, and their menagerie of animals in the beautiful Cascade foothills of North Bend , Washington . Her hobbies and activities include organic gardening, snorkeling, hiking, camping, floating on mountain lakes, and travelling to warm climates around the world.
